Step #9 – Exercise

We all know that just 30 minutes a day of exercise does the body and mind good. We all know that diet and exercise go hand in hand. Some of the benefits of exercising include weight control, lower blood pressure, improved sleep quality, improved digestion, decreased risk of heart disease, improved immune function, improved energy, decreased risk of depression and anxiety.

Walking, jogging, weight lifting, pilates, yoga, cycling, dancing, playing sports are all ideas for getting off of our rear ends. Try to find a partner to exercise with for extra accountability, but remember we are all different so one type of exercise might work for you, but not for someone else. Change it up so you don’t get bored. Keep track of what you are doing, how you feel and make changes based on this.

There is no need to spend hours in the gym each day. Small steps can lead to big changes, but you have to take that first step. So GET UP!!! and get moving.
