So the unofficial start of summer is here. This past weekend was a long, holiday weekend for most people. I saw many pictures on social media of BBQs, pool parties, beach days, bar hops. How did you do? Did you overindulge? I know I did and guess what? It’s Ok. Here’s how to get back on track: Go back to basics.
I have actually been off track for a few months and I can see it in the mirror and feel it in my energy level. In fact, I haven’t been to a grocery store or cooked a home made meal in 2 weeks. With all of the responsibilities to myself, my husband, my kids, my house and my work, time has literally run out on me each day and I’ve gotten lazy. So I’ve decided to go back to the beginning. Step #1 – Set a goal and Step #2 – Drink more water.
Here’s the goal that I set for myself.: By June 1, 2019 I will drink 9 cups of water by 12:00 pm each day. I actually keep a tally and keep the tally in front of me most of the day. It’s how I keep myself accountable.
Don’t get down on yourself. You did what you did and it’s over. It’s time to move on. Sit down, take a few breaths, set your goal and get to work!
